Nilsen receives a 2015 NECA Excellence Award for the Mt Martha Solar Dryer Facilities

Nilsen’s electrical and communication work at the Mt Martha Solar Dryer Facilities was recognised when Victoria's best electricians and projects were named at NECA’s Excellence Awards in Melbourne on July 31st 2015.

The project, which received the award for best Industrial Small Project, was completed in October 2014 at the state-of-the-art solar dryer plant on the Mornington Peninsula. The Mt Martha Solar Dryer Facilities were constructed to provide a reliable means of drying sludge independent of weather conditions and to reduce the load on the existing sludge drying pans. Nilsen were engaged by Transfield Services, on behalf of the South Eastern Recycled Water Alliance (SERWA) to install the electrical and communication works vital to the day to day running of the facilities.

“Above all I am extremely proud of the tireless commitment of Nilsen staff to meeting our clients’ needs and providing excellent service on all jobs, large or small. This award particularly acknowledges Nilsen’s leadership within sewage and waste water treatment - an industry that is gaining ever more importance as our society embraces environmental sustainability. The most satisfying element of this win is that our people’s excellence has been recognized by their peers,”

- Rob Selymesi, General Manager of Nilsen (Vic) Pty Ltd.
